My Blue Heaven is located exactly five miles from the Georgetown airport. Once you leave the airport, head south/east on Queens Highway (go right at the round-about). Our home will be on the left hand side. There are no addresses on the island but you will see the blue wall with the "My Blue Heaven" sign.
The great thing about the Exuma is the you can sit on the beach at our home and relax and do nothing.... or find some great activities on the island and water. Exuma has some amazing fishing. It is known for its bone-fishing. You can also bottom or deep sea fish as well. There is an amazing golf course located at Sandals. It is a challenging course with many of the holes right on the ocean. If water sports is your thing you can kite surf, stand up paddle board, kayak, jet ski, snorkel and scuba dive in the waters surrounding the island. We have plenty of snorkel gear at the house. Enjoy the reef just down the beach! Walk down the beach to your right, about ¾ of the way to the very next house and swim out 15-20 yards.
Exuma is a wonderful island to get out and explore. You can drive the whole island following Queen’s Highway. It is almost impossible to get lost. The local people are amazing and friendly. We have never had any issues with crime. Just as you would anywhere, be sure to lock your vehicle or the home when unattended, but feel comfortable visiting the local restaurants and businesses.
US cell phones work on the island. Be sure to call your wireless carrier before your trip to set up Internationl rates. The island area code is (242). You can dial any local (242) numbers from the house phone for free. Shavonne Deveaux is the local property manager of the house. She is available to assist you with any house related issues. Free WIFI is available at the house
Be sure to drive on the LEFT side of the road! Be careful pulling out of the driveway. The security mirror across the street is there to aid your sight lines but please also look to the right when pulling out. Cars drive very fast on our road. And be sure to wear your seat belt. They will pull you over and fine you if you do not have it on.
